It’s awards season, and Firstborn of the Sun is up for nomination. Here’s how you can vote!
British Science Fiction Association (BSFA) Awards Longlist

Firstborn of the Sun has been nominated for best novel by the BSFA awards.
Only BSFA members and Eastercon attendees can vote.
You can become a member by signing up on the BSFA website accessible via the ‘become a BSFA member’ link below. Once you are a member, not only will you be able to vote in their awards, but you will also gain exclusive access to magazines Vector and Focus.
You will also be able to improve your writing by having access to advice from established authors and industry experts, as well as receive regular newsletters with updates about information and events happening in the science fiction world.

Locus Awards Poll

You can vote for Firstborn of the Sun in the 56th annual Locus Awards ballot. Everyone is eligible to vote in these polls, but members' votes are counted twice.
Below is information on which categories you can vote for and the exact details to be entered on the ballot. To vote for FOTS, make sure you write in the following answers in the “write in an entry” section at the bottom of each category and rank all answers 1-5 (1 being the best). Please use the link below to vote. Voting closes on April 1st.

Nebula Awards

You can nominate Firstborn of the Sun for best novel in the 61st Nebula Awards! Only SFWA full, associate and senior members are able to nominate for the Nebula Awards.
Nominations for the awards can be made between 15th November and 28th February. Eligible SFWA members can submit nominations using the link below or by post.
If you would like to cast a ballot for Firstborn of the Sun during the nomination period, you will first need to log into the SWFA discussion board and then click the link sent to your member email. If you use only the link in your email without first opening the SWFA discussion board, you may encounter errors. Paper nominations can be requested by emailing nac@sfwa.org.
SFWA’s full associate and senior members can then vote in the final ballot after the nomination period ends. Eligible members will receive an email with instructions on how to access the final ballot and can also access it via the members-only forums. Again, paper ballots can be requested by emailing nac@sfwa.org. All winners for the Nebula Awards will be announced at the Nebula Awards ceremony in June 2026.
